Announcement for a joint MSc study
We are pleased to announce the upcoming call for applications for the 13th cohort of the Joint MSc Program in Aquatic Ecosystems and Environmental Management (AEEM) for the 2026/2027 academic year. This unique program is jointly offered by Addis Ababa University (AAU), Bahir Dar University (BDU), and Egerton University (Kenya) in collaboration with the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR) and BOKU University, Austria. The AEEM program is generously supported by the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC).

Study modalities
Here are two modalities to join the AEEM program
- AEEM offers limited scholarships for highly qualified and motivated students.
- Institution- or self-sponsored students are also welcome to the program.
Academic entry requirements:
- Applicants must hold a BSc degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Natural Resources Management, Animal Sciences, or related natural science disciplines from a recognized university. Females are encouraged to apply

4. Motivation letter (not more than one page)
5. 2 recommendations letters

Entrance examinations
- Written exam: August 05, 2026, at 10 AM. (both at AAU & BDU)
- Interviews: Selected students will be invited for face-to-face interviews on 10 August 2026.
- Graduate Admission Test (GAT): 11 August 2026.
